  • I'd dinner at Stack with 2 friends of mine tonight. We shared the following dishes: 1. Okra salad with quinoa and cherry tomatoes 2. Frog legs and escargots pancake 3. Seared scallop and caviar pancakes 4. Beef tartare pancake 5. Seafood paella 6. Beef ribeye with hash brown 7. Running honey pancake All the food was quite tasty and nicely presented. The highlights were the okra salad which was very refreshing and the seafood paella which came with some very fresh lobsters and clams. If I must criticise, the pancakes weren't fluffy enough for my taste. I could tell they're passionate about their job and take pride in the food they make. Service was good too. It's Sunday so it's quiet in the restaurant. We're the only customers until half way through our meal when 2 other customers walked in. But, the bar seating was quite a turn-off. After about half an hour, I started to feel rather uncomfortable. Also, given that the location was a little bit out of the beaten track and the price wasn't cheap (about $580 per person and we only ordered 2 glasses of wine), I'm not sure if I'll go there again.
