  • This is without a doubt the best restaurant in KL. Chef Darren Chin works magic with his French and Japanese fusion creations. We had the 7 course dinner and every dish was done in perfection. The Amuse Bouche was amazing too. Service was good and attentive throughout the night. Wonderful experience!

  • I wanted to host a dinner for 5 friends on Monday night on May 30 but the restaurant is closed Mondays. I called Darren Chin, the owner chef and asked if he could possibly make a switch to close on Sunday the day before and open for me on May 30. I was celebrating 2 birthdays! He told me to give him a couple of minutes and he will revert on the telephone. He called back promptly and said that he will be able to accommodate! Excellent food is available but this kind of bending backwards is truly unusual. Good food at DC Is a given but what Darren did to open his restaurant for me on Monday is priceless and it wasn't as if I was booking the entire restaurant! This restaurant is worth supporting always!

  • I've visited a couple of times now and in my opinion this is the BEST restaurant in KL by far! The seasonal menu has wonderful variety and executed to perfection. Familiar ingredients are combined or presented in new ways, ultimately providing a wonderful taste and experience. Too many variations and dishes to mention here (they offer 3, 5 and 7 course tasting menus)...suggest you just check out their website if you would like to see what is available for the current season. Service is top notch. Very attentive and knowledgeable staff. From the moment you arrive, to choosing drinks and served food and everything in between - every single staff member knows what to do. Chef Darren also came out to introduce himself both times I visited. Ambiance is great as well. Although it is located in a typical KL shop lot, the restaurant has an appropriately modern and classy feel commensurate to the fairly high price point. While admittedly, the place will lose out in terms of 'spectacular skyline views' to the touristy restuarants located in hotels and buildings in KLCC (these usually have views of Petronas towers) due to its location - DC Restaurant is far and away better than any other restaurant in KL. Five Stars for Food (Taste, Quality, Execution), Service (Knowledge, Attentiveness) and Ambiance A must visit in KL!

  • Let me start with why I called this the best. I wrote a 3 star review for DC a year ago, with complaints about food standard and staircase accessibility. This time I came back, boom, a new staircase with the steps being much less steep and the light more bright. 1 point there. 100 points next for the food! Food was flawless, DC has ventured out of the safe and boring menu to include really adventurous combination like coconut and soya bean, urchin emulsion, Cameron Highland vegetables, etc. I'm very very impressed with the quality of the food, and service was fast with very attentive waiter. Safe to say I am super pleased about the dinner. DC shows a great example of a restaurant which cares about what customers say and tries to make a difference. I will be coming back for more!! P/s: highly recommend the beef medley and wagyu rump. It's to die for!!
