If you are like me, that put emphasis on the atmosphere of the restaurant, you will not be disappointed. KL should have more of these kind of atmospheric restaurant. The place was smaller than I expected. Overall, great experience.

Quite possibly the worst restaurant I've been to in KL in 20 years of living here. Quite a pity as the setting is very charming, tucked into a nice bit of jungle. This restaurant has lots of potential but is let down so badly by a poorly organised kitchen that had very little food or drinks. We were a party of 8 and ordering was a farce. More than 60% of the meals on the menu were unavailable. It took us about 30 minutes to order as we would order something, the waiter would say 'thats out of stock" or accept the order then come back 5 minutes later after we placed the order and tell us it was not available. Ordering became a game of guessing what was available. All of the their 'signature dishes' were unavailable. All soft drinks out of stock. Starters were stale and well below par. Main courses arrived spread out over 40 minutes with many having finished their meals by the time the last meals came out - and this was basic stuff - pasta and noodles. MYR400 for a very poor dining experience - well overpriced by local standards. To top it all off a few of us had upset stomachs afterwards. Bad restaurant. Many much nicer, better value places in KL.

Visited subak for a farewell dinner party and I have to say when I walked into the restaurant I was amazed! Beautiful jungle setting and we'll nestled between the trees with the sound of slow water flowing it was amazing! Then came the menu. My friends and I were shocked to see the prices of the food. It was no where near value for money or even close to it! I would understand if the restaurant was located in the heart of the city but this was located in the middle of no where. Orders were placed and a short while later the food arrived. The bruscheta was nothing to rave about and the truffle fries were not evenly coated with truffle oil. The spaghetti carbonara was watery and just very bland. Overall if you are looking to go on a romantic date the surroundings would be perfect if you are willing to compromise on the quality of food. Although without any alcohol at all it would bring to a rather lousy romantic evening.
