  • If you think of thakali food in pokhara there is no other place than Monalisa. We were 14 of us and had an amazing lunch. Its a very cozy place but recommended that you pre order if its a huge group as unlike other joints its made to order. Don't miss the local fish fry, Sukuti and Aloo for starters.

  • So, we had heard that this place offers the best Nepali (thakali) food in town. We arrived at 2'O Clock for Lunch and after waiting for about 40-45 minutes they finally gave us a table! , took our order and say in about 15 minutes they told us to leave the table and wait for another 20-25 minutes, just because of some ministers were supposed to arrive half an hour later! They were ready to exchange our dignity for a free plate of food, but we were there for food! This hotel is filled with insufficient staff and very cold people. If you're choosing it, get ready to be humiliated. In our view a guest is a guest, whether a normal person or a powerful person.
