  • We went for a birthday dinner , 8 adults. We had starters, mains and dessert. Of the starters, the fried camembert and venison carpaccio won the race! The mains, I had a rib eye that was cooked to perfection and, for a change, real mash and not the fake stuff some restaurants are trying to pass off. My sister had the chicken schnitzel which was absolute perfection!! It tasted like chicken and not oil, it was so unbelievably tender and crispy! The chicken roulade also was amazing, I have never had a piece of chicken be so flavourful and moist! Unfortunately my father didn't like the pork belly as much. There was about a fifth of meat to fat so he was dissapointed with that. For dessert I have to say that the pana cotta made me fall in love. It was my absolute favourite so far! You can tell that they didn't skimp on the cream and all the fatty goodness that should come with a pana cotta! All in all the experience was great except that we had to wait an hour and a half for mains to appear but the staff were good to us and service was up to standard. If you do decide to go....book at least 3 days in advance, the place gets packed!
