Have wanted to visit Franchesco's for some time so decided to take my wife there for her 60th birthday. Made Sunday evening reservations at 6:00. Arrived on time and were promptly seated in a nicely decorated main dinning room with only 4 other tables being used. Very quiet and comfortable. Timely service by friendly waitress who took our drink order. Excellent cocktails. I ordered Sirloin (MR) with mushrooms and a loaded baked potato, my wife Shrimp Linguine. Bread basket was brought with the salads. The bread was very tough, but not hard. After what seemed like a long wait, the food was brought to our table and the presentation was excellent. My steak was average and disappointing, the mushrooms were tough and dry. Wife's shrimp were prepared well and were very tasty, however her pasta was not well cooked and stuck together like glue. Our waitress was very attentive and courteous.After all we had heard about Franchesco's we were satisfied - but disappointed overall. We will return in hopes that it is a better experience.
