  • Everything about this meal was perfect. We did initially sit inside but there was a table spare outside so we were able to move out onto the terrace. The Octopus salad was by far the best we ever had and the pasta was amazing. All topped off with a couple of yummy indulgent desserts. Value for money was an understatement considering the quality of the food and great service. When back in Rome we will certainly return. Thank you very much!

  • Standing in front of the place you don't have the impression that this might be such a nice restaurant. But just enter, go upstairs and, if they have a free table, sit on the terrace (you better book because there are not very many tables). Perfect and quick service, nice and quiet setting, excellent food, average prices.

  • Found this restaurant on Trip advisor and we were offered a 50% discount if we booked using the Fork (Trip Advisor's booking app). We booked, but the deal seemed to good to be true (50% off - really? there must be some fine print here...). We arrived, and the restaurant on the ground floor was empty with rather harsh lighting. It didn't look very appealing, but we decided to give it a whirl largely based on the outstanding reviews we had read on Trip Advisor. We were warmly welcoming and taken upstairs to the beautiful roof top terrance at the back of the building overlooking a roman ruin. A tip: you need to book a table on the terrace, as it is small and can only accommodate a handful of tables. After some discussion, they agreed to give us a table on the terrace even though we had not booked the terrace. Dinner was marvellous. We started with a sautéed chicory (a type of dandelion) and squid salad. We had never had chicory before (bit like a cross between spinach and arugula) and it was delicious. We followed with the vongale pasta (also wonderful) and then an oven roasted whole sea bass cooked to perfection. The entire meal was first class, but our favourite was the chicory (don't miss it). It was a gorgeous Roman summer night with a full moon, a perfect setting for a lovely dinner. The bill arrived, and much to our astonishment, it was 50% off (including 50% off the bottle of wine we had ordered). A marvellous meal for just over 50 Euros. So if you have a chance to take advantage of the 50% off deal, grab it. Call in advance and see if you can book a table on the terrace. You will have a wonderful evening.

  • Made same day reservation based on TA reviews and was overall pleased with the experience. As noted in some prior reviews, don't be spooked if ground-level dining area is totally empty when you walk in - there's an indoor upstairs dining room plus a rooftop patio as well. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Had very good mussels and a pasta dish recommended by the waiter (unfortunately I don't know the dish's name) - pasta was outstanding, possibly the best pasta dish we had while in Italy. For main course I got the mixed seafood plate based on other reviews - it was very good, but I'm not a huge shellfish guy so I probably wouldn't order it again. Wife got some type of sea bass dish, which was good too. We did't order the calamari but saw it brought to several tables around us - it looked fantastic, and I would definitely try that next time. Would definitely return!
