  • Seiya is a tiny restaurant with lots of atmosphere, quite reminiscent of neighborhood restaurants in Japan. Dark wood and stone decor, and the tallest front door anywhere. There's a long counter in the back with the sushi chefs, and several tables closer to the front. The staff is friendly and very attentive. The menu is mostly sushi, but there is a small selection of izakaya-type grilled veggies and meats, tempura, and salads. We had the grilled asparagus, chicken, and filet mignon, the vegetable tempura, and a tofu dish. It was all very fresh, nicely prepared, and served with delicious sauces. Try the sesame ice cream for a very different taste. A bit pricey, but extremely well done.

  • Seiya is a great choice if you're looking for fresh, creative, tasty sushi in a quiet, peaceful atmosphere. The decor is very nice. Some people may not like the narrow, dark look to the restaurant, but I love it. The food is fantastic. The service is friendly and professional.

  • Frequent patrons. Top quality fish, always fresh, new manager knows what he's doing. We've tried many sushi places in the Bay Area, across the country, and internationally - Seiya is very, very good.

  • Making a long story short - The Fish taco is special & great! - The spicy scallops are a must (ordered that twice) - Toro Sashimi is good (as always) - Nigiri, any of them, are simply great. Cut big. Thick. Rice is great and proportions are perfect A bit pricy, but food is good, so all in all - it's somewhere between fine dinning and mid-range. Will come back here for sure
