  • The staff was friendly and warm. The location is really close to the rock fortress. But the food itself, we didn't like all that much. Perhaps we could have chosen a better food option that would serve better vegetarian cuisines.

  • I celebrated my birthday here and the staff went out of their way to make it a great evening. It is not directly on the road which also makes it a nice experience. And they have a rather large selection of dishes + nice cold Lion Beer!

  • Our guest house recommended this restaurant to us after having a few bad experiences eating out in Sigiriya. We turned up for dinner at 8.30pm. The restaurant was empty - we probably should've seen this as a warning sign. There wasn't much that you could order off the menu. In the end we chose devilled chicken and devilled pork. There didn't seem to be a difference in the meat they used which leaves you wondering what you could be eating. It was also pricey for what it was. If I was in the UK I would've refused to pay for the meal but the language barrier made it difficult to complain. I would steer clear of this one!

  • We came here for dinner because already passed the restaurant a few times on our way to the Sigiriya Rock entrance, and it looked promising. However, when we arrived, we were already a bit disappointed. The restaurant is outdoors with a small pond and because of the very strong, cold white lights in the ceiling, there were mosquitoes, moths, ants and all kinds of other bugs buzzing around our head (and quickly dying in our plate or our glass). The food was average but the prices were three (yes 3!) times as high as in the small restaurants in the little centre of Sigiriya (and the food is definitely not better). And sadly enough, the service wasn't good either. There were 3 men, (of which one was talking on the phone all the time) but none of them had any attention for the customers. At first, I wanted to have dessert, but as they never ever (even after we finished our meal for 30 minutes) cleared our plates, we decided to leave. As an extra surprise, on top of the already expensive prices, a 10% service charge was added (for what service, there was none???) to the bill even though this was nowhere mentioned in the menu!
