  • Absolutely love this place as it serves not only their pretty well known sup payau, but also tasty nasi campur dishes during the afternoons & even nasi kuning in the mornings. And although it is right next to the airport, it's not exactly within the immediate airport area so if u spot a place that looks like somebody's house near the area, than u've found the eatery

  • If you're in Tawau, one of the famous local delicacy is Sup Payau (Deer). The easiest to get to is Bibiq Corner just outside of Tawau Airport, near the roundabout. What I usually do is have lunch there first when I arrive in town. The food is simple and affordable. The deer meat which is licensed by the way, is cooked in a clear broth, and served with a plate of white rice and spicy 'sambal'. Don't forget to have a glass of ice water when the sambal hits your mouth. The deer meat is tender and not too gamey. There might be other places which serve sup payau, but for convenience and price, Bibiq Corner is the best.
