  • We had a celebratory family lunch in this restaurant, four of us plus our 9 month old granddaughter. I can honestly say it was one of the best meals we have ever eaten. We had the Carte Blanche, with six courses chosen by the chef and matching wines. Every one of them was superb, elegant, beautifully cooked and presented, with some interesting twists, such as eel panacotta. The wines paired perfectly with each course. The service was excellent - efficient and friendly, making for a surprisingly relaxed atmosphere. I was most impressed by the fact that, having been told in advance that I was diabetic, the chef had taken the trouble to prepare a sugar free version of the dessert just for me and the wine waiter brought me an alternative to the sweet dessert wine. Not all fine French restaurants would go to such trouble.
