Got a pizza to go and was impressed! Better than most chain store pizzas. It does take about 30 min for them to make it up so do expect that. You order inside the convince store so was a little hard for me to find at first but sure glad I did because it was great!

Stopped by for lunch while visiting volcanoes national park. This place was a little gem - home baked bread, design your own sandwich/sub and good selection of home baked slices/muffins. Loved the banana bread for breakfast the next day.

Love that you can build your own and even have the veggies on the side if you like. Fresh bread (rolls) and great pastrami which is hard to find in Hawaii. We live here and will be going back again and again, cant wait to try the pizza some evening. Now if they only delivered we'd be set.. Hint Hint Hint

We were staying at a house near the general store and we had an ad at the house advertising Big O’s Pizza and thought we would try it for lunch after visiting the park. We went to eat there for lunch and we were told they only make pizzas after 5pm, so we let them know we would be back at 5. We arrived back at the store a little before 5 and no one was around. We asked the cashier if we could place an order for pizza, they said there would be no pizza because the kitchen and oven were being worked on. We explained to them that we were told to come back at 5, with no mention of the kitchen being “under construction”. The 2 girls that were working could have cared less. We asked if the deli was still making sandwiches since the pizza kitchen was closed, they said no. So, we went to find something else, but a lot of restaurants in Volcano close around 4pm which made finding a replacement place to eat very difficult. We ended up driving back to the general store and buying turkey lunch meat, rolls, chips and a small soda with a cost of $19. This was a very frustrating experience and the lack of care on the part of all of the employees made it even more frustrating. If you come here be prepared to be disappointed.
