Madera kafe has to be one of my favourite restaurants in Sydney. The customer services and food is second-to-none. Always serving amazing wholesome food that keeps you coming back for more. Such a friendly atmosphere and management are such wonderful people. I advise everyone to try this restaurant out and I'm sure you will never be disappointed. Love the place

This restaurant has seating both inside and out. We sat outside, still under cover, for a nice dinner. The staff are very attentive and the wait times are not long. The food is very nice with the Pork Muckalica absolutely stunning. The dishes are just the right size to be filling. They also have imported beers which make a nice difference. Overall very worthwhile.

From the minute we walked in and sat down to the time we paid the bill and were leaving we were treated as if we were the only people in the restaurant (it was a full house) the service was faultless as was the food. Terrific atmosphere great night out!!!!

My partner was feeling nostalgic for his homeland's food so we ventured out to Madera Kafe on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant is oddly placed within a shopping area car park, but upon entering, it felt like a hidden oasis. There was an "inside outside" area before entering the indoor seating area. Nice decor and everything well presented. The wait staff were nice and attentive. You could hear patrons speaking in Serbian, which is always a good sign that natives must enjoy the place. We ordered a mixed grilled plate with various meats of chicken, beef and pork. It came with a vinegary cabbage slaw. We also had beer battered chips with sour cream and sweet chilli sauce (not Serbian, but we were craving it), a potato salad that had a tangy dressing and bread that was pita-like with urnebes (cheese with paprika, chilli and other spices). The chips were spot on, delicious. The mixed grilled plate we shared between the two of us and it was just the right amount of protein. The salads were good, just a tad tart with the vinegar, and we really enjoyed the bread with urnebes. Overall, pretty impressed as we've eaten at two other Balkan restaurants in Sydney, and this was the best so far. There was krempita (a cream-custard like cake between flaky pastry that is yum!). We were going to order it after we finished lunch, but as we were eating, we saw someone snatch all of what was left. It was sadness. When I was paying the bill, the cashier told us that an older lady bakes all of their authentic desserts. We'll have to come back to have this cake, but we won't mind trying the other dishes on their menu either.
