The food is delicious, the service is friendly, the decor is bright and welcoming, and you always get a special welcome and farewell from the owner. It's real Italian hospitality - and make sure you leave room for the tiramisu!

My husband & I have lived in this area for a long time & visited this restaurant many times over the years. It was always a friendly, inexpensive restaurant but not anymore. We found it very noisy with some quite offensive language coming from a guest at the next table. The food is still enjoyable but now very expensive for what it is. The staff were pleasant but not enough of them for the number of guests.

By chance I called into La Botte for the first time in twenty years Guess what, the menu even looked the same. I was pleasantly surprised to find this menu contained all my old favourites, plain basic, wholesome Italian dishes, nothing fancy. Our choice for this meal, spaghetti porto fino ( good size chunky prawns, spaghetti soaked in garlic/olive oil), tortellini ai fungi, bruschetta a bit basic but tasty, Italian salad mostly lettuce. We noted corkage $6 per bottle but had the house chardonnay , very nice , large serve $9 a glass. Look this restaurant is very basic, on a busy street but easy parking, dine inside or out, tables squeezed in, white table clothes, basic decor but with character, you could be anywhere in Italy. The staff were very pleasant and service was fine. A tip, if you are a couple, book the table just inside the door, the one behind the transparent screen, you are screened off, have a view of what is happening in the restaurant without others crowding into you, a bit more personal space. We will return, could become another of our regular options, really good value, really good tasting Italian food, believe it or not bordering on a cheap eat. We recommend you case the restaurant when you are close by, then book a table of your choice, then be pleasantly surprised.

La botte restaurant is a Family run business, Ercole & Teresa 'Father & Daughter' are always so Hospitable , they always make sure you have a great dining experience , the food is always fresh, the pizza is always so so tasty , we have been dining here for the last 25 years and its always good, Always book as they are always busy,
