我们在这家小餐馆吃得很愉快。餐厅只有大约20个座位，有一个很棒的女服务员，也许只有一个主厨。菜单的重点是慢火烹调的食物。我们享用了章鱼开胃菜。我妻子吃了一只非常棒的乳猪，皮酥脆极了。我很喜欢鸡肉派，它是把鸡丝放在土豆上做成的。我们期待着下次在再次来这里用餐。

We came to germany for a White Christmas and were not disappointed. We stayed at the wonderful alpenhof murnau and for our Christmas dinner elected to have the degustation menu. We are travelling with myself, my wife, our two kids and my mother. The menu was excellent with a variety of meat fish and vegetable dishes. All were extremely tasty and beautifully presented. The service was excellent. The wine list is extensive and reasonably priced. While some starred restaurants focus on surprise, weirded combinations or molecular gastronomy (all welcome at the right place and time) this restaurant focuses on quality, flavour and harmony. All the dishes were beautifully balanced and the timing just right. The lamb and quail were warming and surrounded with winter vegetables, just right for a cold winter night. The green asparagus and spinach soup with cream was sensational. For a family of Australians far from home, the staff made our white Christmas dinner a meal to remember. Bravo.

We've had dinner twice at the Reiterzimmer during our 5 days stay at the Alpenhof Murnau. And both occasions were excellent. The first evening we've tried Menu I: crayfish, pike-perch, a sorbet served in a Heineken beer bottle (!), deer and deserts. At the end our table got all dressed up with a sort of a miniature tree, from which all kinds of goodies and sweets were hanging! And a praline in a little wooden box as a souvenir when leaving the table. The sommelier accompanied all that with wonderful discoveries of wines. What surprised us even more was that on the second evening they spontaneously came up with a menu especially made for us, and taking into account what we'd already eaten the first night. They'd made a 5 course choice out of the 7 course Spezialmenu: duck liver pot, Donau waller, giant prawn, calf and a desert made up around rhubarb. To summarize: it's certainly worth paying this restaurant a visit, even making a detour for it!

The food was excellent, each course was unique. The service made it even more special. The pricing was quite high, though I did feel it was worth what we spent.
