第一次来到这家热闹的咖啡馆，是在一个星期四的上午11点。我把我的朋友从州际公路带到这里，那里的服务、食物和咖啡都很棒，我们没有匆忙离开，饭后我们聊了很久。有这么多好咖啡馆在Hawthorn上面，Axil真的是最出色的。肯定会回来。谢谢

Always pumping. Fantastic food! Great friendly service! And the best coffee in Melbourne! That's why we always go back to Axil.

Had heard a lot about the coffee here so thought it was time to give Axil a go. Visited mid week for lunch and the food did not disappoint. Really nice options on the menu including some excellent tacos, cauliflower fritters and interesting salads. Breakfast/brunch options looked very good. Had two different coffees. The first was a flat white, not so flat and tasted a bit acidic. Not enjoyable. Then a short Mac, this time with one of the specialty coffees which was described as having undertones of honey, berries etc . Tasted the same, acidic and certainly not smooth. Not sure if the barista was having a bad day but the coffees were not great. Service also needs to get a bit sharper, almost impossible to get anyone's attention after the first order. Came for the coffee, loved the food. Maybe better next time.
