  • Before a walk at the cemetery we went to this place. A very nice place for lunch with big portions. The quality of the food was good and tasty, even the taste of the homemade mayonaise was very nice. If I will be in the neighbourhood some time again, I will definately have lunch here.

  • We found this restaurant after a gruelling trek around the Pere-la-Chase cemetery in the South of Paris. This is a family run restaurant, a typical Parisian bistro, run by immigrants! It sits in a sector with numerous Islamic influences, across the street from a halal butcher. However, the food is excellent, and the service top notch. My daughter ordered the steak tartare-and our waiter whispered to me that this was not cooked-(in case a mistake had been made), but was happy to be reassured. I ordered the calve's liver. Both were superb. Washed down with a Languedoc red wine, this ranks as possibly the best meal we had in the city.

  • i was staying just a few hundred metres from this cafe so i had been there a few times as its a great place to sit outside and people watch. the food and drink prices are about normal for this type of venue in this part of paris. i ordered a burger o this visit. it was nice but not brilliant, a little dry but ok. but the service was excellent. i was served by a nice young girl called charlotte and her personality was brilliant, very happy, engaging and very attentive. Quit happy to chat even though the place was pretty busy. i had a few 1664 blanc beers and they were fresh. sometimes you get beer on tap in paris and it can be a little sour, maybe thats because they don't always sell a lot of white beer. but beer was great and really cold. they gave me a free desert on this trip. i think the waitress enjoyed out chats so she really looked after me and the desert was probably worth 5 euro so it was a nice surprise. if you love watching the people of paris walking by going places then this is a great place to sit and observe

  • I had a late lunch here with friends after spending time wandering in Pere Lachaise on a Sunday in October. Very good food and great people watching on a busy intersection. A perfect way for an afternoon in Paris. Service was fine, almost friendly for Paris.

  • We had lunch at this cafe directly across from the Pere Lachaise metro station after spending 3 hours seeing the Pere Lachaise Cemetery. Our lunch exceeded our expectations in every way. The waiter was incredibly busy, but he saw that our menus got swapped out for english ones after he realized we did not want the special. We both ordered the "Effe Papillion Salad." It was kind of like a cobb salad minus the avocado but with a generous portion of warm goat cheese. The greens were extremely fresh and tasty. The bacon was perfectly done and the other vegetables were all outstanding. The service was fast and very friendly.
