The food was good, we both had Pho large size. The pho did not feel like a large size but it was enough to fill us up. The noodles were very smooth and the soup base was delicious, the beef could be a bit thicker to add to the taste. Everything came up to just under 20EUR so can't complain.

Don't let the "Pho" name fool you into thinking that this is a true Vietnamese restaurant. From the cook to the waitress, they are all Chinese that you can hear a mile away. Not that they cannot be Vietnamese Chinese, but they are more like Chinese Chinese. Their signature Vietnamese soup noodle, appropriately called the "Soupe Speciale" is OK, but compared to the ones from other Vietnamese restaurants I had been to before, such as the ones in Singapore, Hong Kong, or even Chinatown in New York, something is missing. The beef slices are a bit too lean, there is no beef tendon, and the beef meatballs are a bit firm. But the place is clean and quite modern looking with plenty of natural Vietnamese scenery wall prints. The price is good, same price regardless of lunch or dinner. It was not that busy but there were continuous customers coming and going.

I had noticed this restaurant at Christmas just before going for a one month trip to Vietnam. So this seemed like a good idea to go there afterwards as I really enjoyed the food in Vietnam. But this has been very disappointing, the food lacks taste! I had a very boring Beef Pho and you could see that it was not cooked for hours before being served, whilst actuall Pho is cooked for hours in Vietnam, it did not taste at all. Same thing with the Lemongrass chicken. The service was poor too, not unfriendl but not friendly either, just indifferent, would be the word. Next time I pass Paris and need to stop rue du Maine for a short lunch I'll go somewhere else, this was far too disapppointing.

Thought we would try Vietnamese food but unfortunately it was not up to our expectations. It was very busy for lunch on the day we arrived so we thought we would try it. Firstly the waitress could not understand our Aussie accent and so was very difficult to ask questions oboist the menu. She had to get someone else to assist us. We managed to order but we were disappointed with the meals. Maybe it is good for a quick lunch but certainly not for an evening meal. There were not many people in the place when we went and we were one of the last to leave even though it was early. Sorry would not recommend it
