Nestled in Capitol Arcade between Swanston St and Howey Place this tiny little cafe is a hive of activity. Grab a seat in the arcade and order at the counter. The waiters run in an out serving food at a great rate. The food portions are very generous and really cheap... and delicious. Love the Japanese curry bowls served with miso soup and the great selection of sushi rolls and rice paper rolls. Definitely worth a try if you are really hungry and in a hurry. Don't be put off by the queue!

We went to ThaiViet for our quick lunch one day during weekdays. The place is really small so we had to wait for a table (food take away is also possible). Finally food that we got was really tasty and appetizing. We ordered a teriyaki beef dish and spicy salmon (both serves with rice and miso soup). You can find your lunch dish for around 10 AUS dollars. They have also different kinds of sushi and other asian dishes.

Very very very small eating area so wait for a seat or takeaway. We stumbled across this little place while strolling through the arcade with 7Angels at the front (almost corner of Little Collins and Swanston) and looked into the customers big silver bowls they were eating out of. Oh my god we have to try this place. So we did. And we went back again the next day we were so impressed. Fast thai food that they sell out of so you may not get a huge choice so get there early. Huge susho roll to have while you wait only $2 and mains around $8.50 I almost want to keep this secret to myself but since I live in Perth and I don't go to Melbourne all the time, I will share with other Trip Advisers.
