After wandering around the market we were looking for something a little more local and authentic. Suspect there may have been a local and visitors menu but at the end of the lunch 8 beers a variety of dishes lunch was around $400 Hong Kong dollars. Garoupa and eggplant was awesome. Staff were fun and friendly as were the local men who were in there watching horse racing on the TV. Highly recommended if in the area.

We had lunch today at the New Star Restaurant in the Stanley Market. We stumbled into this little tucked away restaurant and were happily surprised. The menu is quite extensive and the prices were very reasonable. Four of us had lunch, (we pigged out) and ordered a variety of dishes. There was so many things, we wanted to try, so we ordered Eight (9) dishes to be exact. With the drinks the bill was $100. We were the only non locals, so we figured this place must be goo. It was.
