  • This is a tiny restaurant, directions are three minutes walk from Exit No 1 of Karasuma-oike subway station. Might be hard to find but worth it. Walk east from the station and count down 4 streets, turn left and you should be there. If you are staying at the Hearton Hotel, it's one block east of that street. A Century 21 on the corner. The owner is the 11th generation of her family that has owned the restaurant. She and her husband run it together. A single counter and four tables. She says there is a larger tatami room upstairs but we didn't see it. Great local food, friendly helpful atmosphere, English menu, English speaking staff. When we asked about how to buy pokemon cards for our grandsons, she had her young son come out and he gave us a booklet with some of his older pokemon cards. They also explained where to buy the newest ones.
