it is not the first time I stayed at this restaurant. The performance started at seven I arrived at 18.05.There was no place available so I reserved a table for myself after the show. Afterwards I arrived very early and I was seated with the comment :this man is alone (probably no good one person half money)! Apero and water arrived immediately.. But then nothing happened for 45 minutes. Everyone else was eating but it didn't help to look around and look for the waiters attention . When I put down the money and wanted to leave he showed up immediately to tell me that I didn't put enough money. No apology and nothing. I can understand that this kind of restaurant only works with theatre goers. No one eats there and all of a sudden everyone shows up. But you really can feel that they don't need you! It's full anyway! The fact is that I was already hungry at 6 o'clock and I had to wait til 2200 til I ate at Augustiner. The opera had just finished. The place was crowded and I waited three minutes!!!!

We had some cake and coffee before a show at the theatre. Coffee was drinkable but not good. Standard push a button machine coffee ... Cake was ok, but the chocolate fondant we ordered was basically a chocolate muffin and not creamy and tender on the inside as we expected.

My friend and I wanted to have dinner before going to the concert of Edita Gruberova in the Prinzregententheater. We made a reservation online for 6 o'clock but because we had no idea how long it would take the subway to get there, we arrived more than 30 minutes earlier. We were afraid we would be told to sit at the bar to wait but our being early was no problem! There was a table with a sign with our name on it where we could enjoy our dinner in what I considered the best spot possible. A little bit higher than the main room and in the corner. Which offered a great view. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. She was there when we wanted her to be, left us alone when we told her we wanted to take our time before ordering. Always with a smile. We liked the first course (a salad with sheep cheese) better than the main course but the main course was not bad either. Maybe we were just expecting too much after that first course. We enjoyed a bottle of Grüner Veltliner. Theater restaurants are often insanely expensive but this one was very reasonably priced. I would definitely go there again if I wanted to attend a concert in the Prinzregententheater.
