  • The Keg is always a sure bet for great service and consistently good meals. Our server was professional and friendly, and was attentive without being intrusive. We ordered the Thai Chicken and the Bacon Wrapped Chicken, and both were fantastic! The menu has changed slightly, as the Thai Chicken is now served with rice instead of garlic mashed potatoes. It was excellent nonetheless. The garlic bread appetizer was a huge portion but we took some home! Birthday visitors receive a free dessert, and ours was a huge mocha ice cream slice (Billy Miner Pie) with caramel sauce, hot fudge and almonds on a chocolate crust. It was so good! We arrived early (after 4 pm) so the place was quiet, and started to fill up quickly as we were leaving. Try The Keg in Newmarket as it is always a satisfying and enjoyable dining experience!

  • I've have been a Keg customer since I was a kid going with my parents 35 years ago! It's always been good and the occasional over cooked steak was usually comped with the dinner taken off the bill. We have dined at the Newmarket location for 15 years. Up until now we even recognized some of the regular staff which said a lot as servers don't stick around long in the restaurant industry! We have noticed that none of the regular staff who worked there years are there so it must be a new manager! Lol It was very busy. Sat night, 50 min wait and Mother's Day was Sun. There isn't a lot of seating area to wait even though they just renovated & could of added seating where they closed off the kitchen but people are left standing trying to stay out of the way. When we were seated the staff was good as usual but when our salads came we asked for our son's children's salad which came with the meal but it didn't show up until his entrée came. Two steaks were over cooked and fatty. We didn't bother complaining as it would be longer and the rest of your food gets cold. Needless to say Sat nights are off our list for the Keg as when you pay for a better meal you want to enjoy it. That said, we won't bother with any restaurant now on a Sat night unless we have a reservation. The Keg doesn't take reservations on the weekend?? Signed Disappointed

  • Always enjoy a Keg night. Great service and excellent food at a fair price. Definitely try the baked Brie, it's awesome. Can't go wrong with a rib steak and if you can finish the night off with a billy miner pie.

  • The Keg has always been consistent for steak. The other couple and my wife had the sirloins and they were amazing. I had the New York and it was the toughest steak I've had in a while. They were so busy I thought oh well maybe it's not as bad as I thought. I tried but each piece was brutal. Once she came back I told her how bad it was and showed her a half eaten steak. No problem she would get the kitchen manager. He was an odd fellow and just said sorry it happens. Do you want another one? I said no the rest of the group was done. He never told me they would take it off the bill. I I was ticked and talked to the waitress and she said yes it was taken off the bill and he should have told me? Then kitchen manager comes out again and blames the waitress for not telling me. Please just cut the drama next time and keep it simple.
