This last minute dinner buffet booking surprised the family as we practically had the whole cafe to ourselves on a Saturday night. We were initially worried that the food was bad as an empty restaurant is usually a sign of this. We were wrong as the food, the ambience and service we received was actually pretty good. I presume that the cafe is underrated and quiet as hotel guest probably prefer to eat at the mall which is connected to the hotel. I especially liked the way the chef prepared the seafood (fried fish with soy sauce, herbs and chillies and tomato squid), and the grilled seafood, satay and meats were well marinated. The peanut sauce for the satay had the right taste and consistency. The spread was not elaborate but adequate, tasty and well seasoned. The dessert spread was good too with an array of cakes, bubur cha cha, cendol and ais kacang. The price was really reasonable at RM78 plus a 20% discount to boot for Citibank, Maybank and CIMB card holders. I'm not sure if this was a special promotion price, so my advise is to call in and check current rates. The spread, ambience and exclusivity we got for that price was practically a steal. I'm in two minds about writing this and sharing the discovery of what seems to be a nice hidden spot in a chaotic location. But it a shame not to share it and especially to see so much delicious food at this cafe's dinner buffet go to waste.

On June 5 at 8.10am, We entered the Cafe with our cambodian friends (your Room 1711 guests), There was no guest waiting at the entrance, your lady Ms Noor lead us to a lounge . When asked why , she abruptly answered that all guests have their breakfast there too!! We wont happy so went into the dining area and found ourselves a empty table. (there were many empty tables, why were we not given). Suddenly Ms Noor (the Cafe Staff) came , gave my husband a bill to sign.She command that she had charged our bill to our cambodian friend"s room. We told her to retract for they are our quests, we should be paying. In the end she retract the bill and told us to pay cash. We are very very upset the .Frankly we wonder why is this hotel has this kind of rude staff , Ms Noor 's attitude is totally unacceptable. We noticed that the cafe was packed with groups & many customers queing at the cafe entrance for breakfast. Last but not least, if this hotel cannot accept or not ready at all to cater for big groups, they should not do so, it has a very adverse effect on the service to their corporate clients.!!!!!!
