  • My wife and I were staying near Times Square and wanted to get a nightcap before returning to the hotel. The weather was warm, so we ventured to the rooftop bar at Latitude. The view was great, and we found a place to sit so we were happy. The drink menu is good and so was the service. As the night went on, it started to get a bit crowded and rowdy, but we still had a good time.

  • Found this place when we were searching for happy hour cocktails before seeing a Broadway show. When I saw that it is an upscale lounge that has four levels including a roof deck and $5 happy hour cocktails served from 2p-10p Saturdays (2pm-8pm weekdays), I was sold. Got there around 6p on a Saturday night and it was packed. The main floor has a long bar with a dining room in the back, no tables were available and they were having a private party on the 2nd floor (long bar, fireplace, tables and billiard table) and 3rd floor (brightly colored lounge with leather and velvet couches) and the roof was not open yet. So, just as we were about to leave, we found seats at the bar and grabbed them. The $5 cocktails are from a choice of margaritas, cosmos, martinis and pomegranate fizz, they also offer $4 bud, bud light and coors light. I ordered an appletini, which was very strong and my friend ordered a cosmo, which was strong but good, so my next drink was the cosmo. We needed to eat something as the drinks were taking effect, so we ordered from the dinner menu. The selection was surprisingly extensive and interesting options. My friend had the crab cakes over mango salad with chipotle aioli for $13 and I went for the 4 classic beef sliders with cheese and onions, and a side of fries for $12. The food was really good. They have a huge selection of appetizers ranging from $7 to $13, salads, sliders, burgers, tacos, quesadillas, sandwiches, wraps, steak and even a few desserts, all reasonably priced, especially for NYC. We could only stay for 90 min as we had to get to the show, but I would definitely go back again for the great happy hour specials. Will try to get there earlier next time. I heard that Friday nights are there most crowded, with after work crowds filling the bar. Definitely recommend for potent drinks and good food in a fun atmosphere. They are open until 4am every day and serve lunch on Sat/Sun and dinner every day, with a separate menu for the roof deck.
