  • Nice interior. Great Food. Superb service. The downside was the unbelievable level of noise. 93 decibels during the entire diner with a peak at 101. I happened to have an app which measure noise level. 1 hour at 93 decibel is the upper limit before damaging your ears. Believe it or not we found the streets of NY so quiet on our walk home. Chose the terrace option or come very early. I

  • This Argentinian restaurant serves a very enjoyable Skirt Steak with your choice of either a salad, mashed or French fried potatoes for $24.95. I had it served medium. It came with two sauces, served on the side.

  • We got hungry while exploring this upper east side neighborhood and the menu outside looked interesting, so we stopped in. It was hard to decide because everything looked so good, but we finally chose the mixed grille. We were very pleased when the waiter delivered the sizzling hot grill to our table. We were delighted with the short ribs, two cuts of steak, chicken breast, and chorizo. They are served with a mixed green salad and your choice of mashed potatoes or french fries provenza. (We chose the french fries). One bit of advice: ask for the meat to be cooked one level lower than you prefer because it continues to cook while you are eating it. Overall it was a great meal and I would definitely go back and try some of the other interesting items on the menu.

  • A friend and I decided to eat here after having a couple of drinks at a nearby bar. He got the rib eye and I had the blood sausage. The were both excellent, I ate more than I should have. He REALLY likes the sauce he got with his steak. We ordered cocktails off their list and weren't disappointed. I had the "Why Not" cause why not, right? Food came quick. They seated us in the rear in the corner so it was a great spot to see the whole restaurant and outside. An excellent experience for my first time in New York! So glad we picked it!

  • My husband and I are regulars here. One thing I recommend is that you anticipate your steak being slightly over cooked - I always ask for medium-rare to get a medium cooked steak. Their filet mignon is great, esp with the mushroom sauce.

  • Whenever I walk by this place always seems busy and noisy, and that was true on a late Sunday morning. I had short ribs with eggs and fingerling potatoes. The meat was good but too chewy, I had to cut it in tiny pieces, which took an effort, before getting it down. But overall, this is a good meat place. Do not recommend Argentinian pancake with CARMEL that was so doughy and sweet I could not eat it. I wish their outside chairs were a bit more friendly and table less wobbly, but what the heck, you are seated outside and enjoying the life of a UES IN NYC!!!!!!!

  • My teenage sons love red meat so we were excited to try this neighborhood place. It was 6.45 on a Monday holiday night so not crowded. We ordered the mussels appetizer and three different steaks (rib-eye, ny Strip and "porterhouse"). It took almost an hour for the mussels. The waiter avoided eye-contact at all costs. When they finally came he said "sorry, mussels take a really long time." The mussels were over cooked and there were at least 5 or 6 that were closed (dead). So we said we would like to leave. We thought the steak would suck at this point. The waiter said he would make it "really worth it" for us to stay. Against our better judgment we stayed. The steak (ordered medium rare) was overcooked and super salty (we love salt). But my teenagers loved loved the fries. The waiter continued to ignore us and the owner (who was hovering near our table (in the back by the kitchen) never stopped by even though it was so obvious she knew we were not happy. So the waiter offered us a free dessert, which we declined, and charged us for the mussels. NEVER coming back and NEITHER should YOU!
