I'd dinner at Stack with 2 friends of mine tonight. We shared the following dishes: 1. Okra salad with quinoa and cherry tomatoes 2. Frog legs and escargots pancake 3. Seared scallop and caviar pancakes 4. Beef tartare pancake 5. Seafood paella 6. Beef ribeye with hash brown 7. Running honey pancake All the food was quite tasty and nicely presented. The highlights were the okra salad which was very refreshing and the seafood paella which came with some very fresh lobsters and clams. If I must criticise, the pancakes weren't fluffy enough for my taste. I could tell they're passionate about their job and take pride in the food they make. Service was good too. It's Sunday so it's quiet in the restaurant. We're the only customers until half way through our meal when 2 other customers walked in. But, the bar seating was quite a turn-off. After about half an hour, I started to feel rather uncomfortable. Also, given that the location was a little bit out of the beaten track and the price wasn't cheap (about $580 per person and we only ordered 2 glasses of wine), I'm not sure if I'll go there again.

This place had it all, food goes way beyond the name Stack, Fusion is a good word for a start, but the taste of every dish was unique. The soft shell crabs and the short ribs as well as Cesar wings were out standing, the healthy cocktails with Taboocha were unique and tasty! Pat one other owners I think was speaking to every one filling all the seats in the restaurant and made you feel like a guest in her kitchen! Maybe a little off of the beaten path but food makes you want to come back the next day to try more dishes and more of the ones you loved. In a city that has great places to eat, this one is special! If there is a wait, grab a house cocktail or two as it won't be long as food comes out timely.Wish I could eat at a Stack back home! Also the Running honey pancakes were my dessert and makes me wish I could go for breakfast! 10 Stars!
