  • The Skinny - Parking - paved free lot, often busy Decor - minimal Service - über friendly Restroom - clean single Coke Factor - in a can Food - delicious I decided to take my neighbor out to lunch and we came to Miya. I have been coming here for over 20 years and their food is always delicious, they are always so kind and courteous and their prices are so affordable. It's nice that a mom and pop place can thrive and do so well - it really is a testament to the quality that you receive! We ordered: Garlic Chicken & Tempura - perfectly cooked tempura (1pc shrimp and many veggies) with crisped chicken in a soy broth served with miso soup and rice and salad Chicken Teriyaki - large portion of chicken served with rice, miso soup and salad We had red bean ice cream with mochi which is a not too sweet ice cream but a yummy ending to such a good meal!

  • I'm lucky enough to live around the corner from Miya Sushi so I've been going for over 15 years and I can assure you that over all of those years they have consistently had the freshest, tastiest, highest quality fish of any sushi restaurant I've been to in Los Angeles! This is a small, family-owned and operated restaurant with the nicest staff, the same sushi chefs that have been there forever and regular customers that have been going for so long they are known by name. Mind you, they don't have a lot of crazy or fancy rolls with unusual ingredients - instead they have really great sushi and sashimi where the fish itself is the star! My favorites are the garlic albacore roll, the not-mayonnaisey spicy tuna and the melt-in-you-mouth-to-die-for yellowtail sashimi.

  • This tiny Sushi restaurant located in a strip mall in North Hollywood is one of the BEST sushi places in Southern California. They carry several species of fresh fish. Order the Japanese Fried Chicken.... it doesn't appear on the menu. The prices are reasonable for the high quality of the food. Enjoy!

  • We had the seared ahi, Chilean sea bass, albacore, spicy tuna rolls and some other things I can't remember. It was all perfect. The bass was incredible.
